How to Keep your Child's Hair Hydrated This Summer

How to Keep your Child's Hair Hydrated This Summer

I hope you are having a blessed Saturday! I am back with some more tips, but this time tailored towards your kid's hair. I want to help you keep their hair fresh and fun, just like them, this season!

Summer Sun means Some-more protection! How to keep your child's hair protected this summer:

Girl on beach with afro

  1. Swim Safe- Afro hair and chlorine typically do not mix well. If you and the kids want to take a dunk in the sea, ensure that you soak both of your hair in olive oil. Extra virgin is best! This should be done for at least 2 hours before you go swimming. In addition to this, you should also co-wash with a soothing conditioner like ours, before putting on a swim cap and diving in.

Sunlight Curl Creme

2. Moisturise - After the kids have had their fun in the sun, immerse their tresses with a creamy moisturiser, like our Sunlight Curl Creme for their kinky, coily or curly hair! This product is mixed with a range of natural ingredients including coconut milk and shea. The concoction of smells brings an Island vibe- just the atmosphere you long for, and perhaps will be in, this summer season.

Check out this tutorial using the Sunlight Curl Creme:

Knowing your hair is protected by barriers of anti-chlorine products, can make you enjoy your swimming experience more. You won’t have to worry as much about the after-effects of dealing with chlorine-soaked hair with these precautious tips.

I hope that this helps you manage your child's hair during the summer season! I will be back next week with some more hairducation!

Great product

Have been using these products for a little while now and have to say I am very happy with how my hair looks and feels after using them. My hair is in the transition stage and these products are perfect for both textures that I have right now. Would recommend for natural or chemically treated hair lovely.

Very moisturising shampoo

I'm a hairdresser and use the shampp and conditioner all the time well recommended. I. Would never use another product

Twist and Curls Hair Pudding

I wasn't too sure after receiving the pudding. Thought it might be too oily for my hair. But after using with my liquid this moisturised my hair very well. My hair gets dry very quickly and this product kept my strands soft longer than many other products I have used.

Sulphate Free Shampoo and Triple Protein Masque

This is my second bottle of Sulphate Free Shampoo and its a very good product. Shampoo doesnt need much product to foam up. I like the clean smell of the product not too much or no scent, just right. Hair feels thoroughly clean once rinsed. Thumbs up!

From the the moment i squeezed the Triple Protein Masque product into my hand to put in my hair i could tell the consistency was just right for my high porosity hair. So this is now what i will be using for my much needed protein treatment for the future. Another good product.

Fantastic product

I use this on my hair as well as my daughters her. It works wonders and I now can’t live without it!
It moisturises and detangles hair so well. I use it with my braids and I’ve noticed my hair isn’t dry when I take it out. I also use it on my daughters hair daily.
